Green silk ribbon badge suspended from brass pin inscribed "N.E.V.F./ LEAGUE" with images of helmet, ladders, trumpet, baton and axe within foliate design border; short red silk ribbon gathered at center with metal fringe tassle; green ribbon printed in gold "VETERAN/ VOLUNTEER/ FIREMEN'S/ ASSOCIATION/ HARTFORD, CONN./ ORGANIZED NOV. 25,/ 1889" with central image of fire wagon; metal fringe tassle at bottom point of ribbon.
