Description:
Pair of silver salt spoons with upturned pointed handles with gadrooned borders and shell decoration; handles engraved, "MGH" in script; horizontal elliptical bowls; makers' marks stamped on the undersides of the stems.
Gallery Label:
The initials "MGH" refer to Mary G. Howard who married William Huges Gilder in Baltimore in 1856.
