Description:
Cardboard matchbox with inner and outer box; this skillet type is printed on the outer box with florescent orange background; "SAPPORO EAST" is printed in black with a green shadow below the design logo of the head and torso of a stylized Edo period costumed Japanese man and his enlarged and disproportionate hand holding a pair of chopsticks printed on the front; there are three geometric designs that echo the lines of the chopsticks that consist of a line and 16 dots formed into a triangle also printed on the front; On the back, "JAPANESE RESTAURANT / 245 EAST 10TH STREET (CORNER OF 1ST AVE.) / NEW YORK, N.Y. 10009 RWL. (212)260-1330" is printed in black and is framed with a green border with eased edge corners; "JAPAN” is printed on the manumark.
