Description:
Medium blue silk sash; gilt lacing cinching the center; metal bullion tassels at each end.
Gallery Label:
This sash was worn by Dr. Gabriel Grant (1826-1909), while he served as surgeon with the 2nd New Jersey Volunteers. He was later appointed Surgeon-in-Chief of Division. He received the Congressional Medal of Honor.
