Description:
Gold-colored silk jersey sash; 3 rows of gilt lacing across the center, tassels at each end.
Gallery Label:
This sash is part of a uniform worn by Major-General Alexander Shaler while commanding the 1st Division New York State Militia. The accession record says that it post-dates the Civil War.
