Description:
White saucer painted along face in cinnabar red with gold; exterior is decorated with medallions the depict images of Chinese figures located among flowers, sparrows, and other landscape features. Underside painted with gold foliage.
Gallery Label:
Saucer is typical of Japanese Kutani export ware manufactured during the early twentieth century.
