Description:
Diamond-shaped wooden pin with slot for scarf on front, carved by a New York soldier imprisoned at Andersonville, Georgia.
Gallery Label:
According to accession records, this pin was carved from a piece of gopher wood by Simon Hulbert, a soldier with the 100th New York Infantry who died at the Confederate prison at Andersonville, Georgia on August 11, 1864.
