Whale's tooth engraved and blackened with ink with an image of a skiff and figures upset by a whale with sailing ship in background.

The scene is a poor copy of "Peche du Cachalot," a painting by the French artist and corsair Ambroise Louis Garneray, published as an engraving in 1834.
