Description:
Carnelian watch chain seal set in gold bezel with 8 joints which extend to and join at the bail attachment; seal depicts a man's wide brimmed plumed hat and caduceus in front of a column ruin, with monogram "CHDL" off to the side.

This watch chain seal is part of a watch chain set (1941.693a-c) which belonged to Baron Charles Henri de Luze of Morges, Switzerland. He was the father of Louis Phillipe de Luze, the First Consul to the United States from Switzerland.
