Description:
Circular red wax seal impression with three-masted ship above initials "CSW" at center and inscription, "C. S. WOODHULL, PUBLIC NOTARY, STATE OF NEW YORK," surrounding edge; wax affixed to metal disk and housed in circular wooden box with flat lid.
Gallery Label:
Caleb S. Woodhull was Mayor of New York from 1849 to 1851.
