Bronze struck medal with obverse showing clothed bust of William McKinley facing left with surrounding legend: "SECOND INAUGURATION OF WILLIAM McKINLEY." Reverse contains image of the Capitol surrounded by legend: "WILLIAM McKINLEY PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. THEODORE ROOSEVELT VICE-PRESIDENT"; date in exergue: "MAR. 4. 1901."
