Description:
Toy wooden sideboard with drawers and mirror; relief carved in Arts and Crafts style; one of a seven-piece set (1960.81a-g) of toy furniture made from cigar boxes.

According to accession records, the set of furniture--which includes two sideboards, dresser with mirror, table with drawer, sofa, rocking chair, umbrella stand--was made for the donor by her grandfather, John George Schaefer of Dutchess County, NY between 1906 and 1912, beginning with a sideboard (a) made in December 1906.
