Description:
Wooden spool box with two stepped tiers, drawer inside lower section with wooden pull, and pincushion surmounting top (b) that can be lifted off, away from finials; upper section contains metal prongs to hold eight spools from which the thread is drawn through ivory eyelets on each of three sides, beneath this is a mirror with wooden frame which lies flat and can be pulled out, and the mirror pivots to be tilted at various angles; also holds 8 spools of cotton and silk thread (d-k), the drawer has a roll of cotton twill tape (c), two cards with safety pins, one with eight brass (xx-fff),and the other with three metal pins (ggg-jjj), two cards, one holding five snaps (rr-ww) and the other eight (ii-qq), a needle card holding 22 needles (i-hh), a small hollow cylindrical piece of metal (kkk), a red cotton strawberry pincushion (lll), and the top of a circular cardboard box (nnn).
