Description:
Rectangular wooden sewing box with flat, hinged lid, brass plaque with inscription at center of lid, curved brass mounts at corners of lid and other brass brackets attached to corners of desk with metal screws; inside of lid divided into two compartments, one covered in blue velvet; in box, shallow tray covered in blue velvet, on top of series of compartments (two lined with silver foil) containing two circular ivory jars with screw tops, one containing five jewelry findings, ivory canister (missing top), shallow circular colorless glass jar with metal top, two brass findings, four blue satin ribbon flowers, three wooden forms, one file, ivory penknife with various blades, and three jewelry-making tools; set of three compartments to side contain seven red bell-shaped ornaments, one white disk, and various metal findings.
