Description:
Carved walrus ivory cylindrical sewing case which stands vertically, there is a round blue velvet pincushion set in the finial at the top, attached to this piece is a small rod which is turned by the finial to either release or wind silk measuring tape which comes out through a vertical slot at the bottom, the pedastle unscrews to allow adjustment of the tape.
