Description:
Shield-shaped black felt patches; both have white rayon eagle at top, perched over a star; and varying numbers of red felt chevrons at bottom of patch; one has three chevrons; the other has three chevrons with a curved stripe connected to the top chevron, with the star between the stripe and the chevron.
Gallery Label:
These patches were worn by members of an Army or Navy corps on the upper left sleeve of their uniform jackets. Three chevrons indicate a sergeant, and the curved stripe denotes a staff sergeant.
