Description:
Pair of Naval commander's shoulder straps, with metal thread embroidery of an eagle flanked by fouled anchors against black background; reverse lined with red leather, maker's label across center of reverse, metal hooks at each corner.
Gallery Label:
These shoulder straps are part of a uniform which was worn by George Elmore Ide, when he served as a Naval commander from 1891-1899.
