Description:
Pair of shoulder straps with maple leaves at each end against green velvet ground, metal thread embroidered border; reverse lined with dark brown paper.
Gallery Label:
These shoulder straps were worn by Wickham Hoffman (b. 1821). He served as Assistant Adjutant-General on Sherman's staff in 1862, and Adjutant-General and Chief of Staff to Major-General Canby in 1865. He is buried at Arlington Cemetary.
