Description:
Dark blue or black wool U.S. Marine deck officer's shoulder boards; 3 rows gilt stripes at one end with metal embroidered insignia at the center; collar end of shoulder board comes to a point and has a screw-on button cast with "USMS" above shield surrounded by branches; reverse lined with black silk, with leather strap the entire length which secures the button.
