Description:
Silver spectacles with circular lenses connected by "C" bridge; adjustable double-hinged (Ayscough type) temples with elongated loops at ends. Outside of left temple engraved with owner's initials (BB).
Gallery Label:
"Preserver" spectacles were meant to preserve the wearer's vision by exercising eyesight before vision had deteriorated. These spectacles are marked "36" on the temple to indicate their focal length.
