Description:
Metal wire spectacles with smoked lenses; oval lenses connected by "C" bridge; wire temples that loop over ears. Leather-covered pasteboard case open at one end, with optician's name stamped on front.
Gallery Label:
Steel wire frames, common in the second half of the 19th century, offered the ultimate lightweight spectacle frame.
