Description:
Tin, leather, and iron spur; U-shaped tin spur with black leather strap fastened to studs at top, and star-shaped iron wheel rod-fastened to stylized lion's head foot at bottom.
Gallery Label:
According to accession records, this spur was used by the donor's father, Emilio Buch, while serving in the 2nd Battalion, Cazadores Voluntarios de Matanzas, as part of Spanish forces during the Cuban insurrection of 1867.
