Description:
Silver arched-band spurs with a curved, octagonal goad fitted with a ball head with a steel spiked wheel inside; three rings on the band ends, attached to a circular button on one side and a buckle on the other; wide leather boot straps attach to the buckles and buttons; semi-circular stuffed leather pouches hang from the straps.
Gallery Label:
These spurs belonged to Major General Phillip Schuyler (1733-1804) during the Revolutionary War. He was the great-great-grandfather of the donor.
