Description:
Brass arched-band spurs with curved goads split in the center to hold a spiked disc; band ends have buckles.
Gallery Label:
These spurs were used by Major General Jame Barnes (1801-1869) during the Battle of Gettysburg. He was the grandfather of the donor and the father of John S. Barnes, donor of the Society's Naval history collection.
