Bronze struck plaquette with obverse showing two seated draped allegorical female figures, representing America and Germany, shaking hands within neo-classical architectural frame; inscription in exergue: "ARTA ARTIS VINCULA"; inscription at upper center, within plaque: "J.E. SULLIVAN." Reverse shows exhibition buildings at top with architectural surround inscribed within: "ZUR ERINNERUNG/AN DEUTSCHLANDS/BETEILIGUNG AN/DER WELTAUSSTEL/LUNG IN ST. LOUIS/MCMIV." Black leather rectangular fitted case with salmon pink ribbed silk and silk velvet interior.
