Description:
Alderman's wooden staff (probably rosewood) with a gold-painted carved wooden torch finial at the top; ivory ring sixteen inches from the top with a blue velvet handrest edged with red ribbon glued on below; staff tapers at top and toward the bottom; conical base with rounded shoulder and rings at the neck; metal cuff around the base.
