Wrought and seamed silver sugar bowl with lid; oval, boat-shaped body on a flared footring with wheel turned decoration; convex, foliate engraved band inset between main body and the concave upper body with a plain rim and a die-rolled decorative band below; two cast scroll handles with pendent hinged rings; raised lid, oval in plan, flat at the rim, rising in the center to a domed platform surmounted by a cast urn finial; bright-cut dart and wheel turned border on the flat edge of the lid; oval reserves surrounded by engraved garlands on both sides of the body; forward reserve engraved, "I C" in script; maker's mark on base.
