Description:
Child's porcelain tea set composed of fifteen pieces including a sugar bowl with lid; the set is decorated with blue underglaze stripes bordered by copper luster with brown enamel herringbone strips between.

This set was presented to Mrs. Irving McKesson (Mary Henderson-1850-1911), when she was a child by her mother's cousin, Mary Merritt, wife of John P. Haines and daughter of Julia Douglas Merritt of Irvington on the Hudson.
