Description:
silver sugar tongs; bow-form with pointed arms with chamfered borders, threaded shield reserves, one engraved, "S" in gothic script, with embossed laurel garlands around each; foliate grips, each with three curved and pointed tines; maker's marks stamped on the underside of one arm.
Gallery Label:
This silver service was presented to William Sulzer (1863-1941), the former governor of New York State, by his Congressional District on his 50th birthday in 1913.
