Description:
Presentation sword with slightly curved, single-edged steel blade with broad, three-quarter length fuller adjacent to shorter, narrower fuller and etching on obverse and reverse; gilded brass half-basket hilt with openwork flower and scroll design on obverse side and quillon with scroll finial; grip covered in fish skin and wrapped with wire; Phrygian helmet-shaped pommel with incised floral decoration on top and shield, stars, and leaf border centering a flower below; leather scabbard with gilded brass mounts, including two carrying rings and drag, stamped with stars and engraved with floral motifs and inscription.
