Description: 
Dress sword with straight, double-edged steel blade with etched designs on obverse and reverse (edges are very blunt); gilded brass hilt with grip covered in charcoal gray fish skin and wrapped with braided wire; counter-guard consisting of two shell-shaped pieces, a fixed piece on the obverse side with molded eagle and banners, and a hinged piece without decoration, which can be lowered when a button underneath is depressed, on the reverse; knuckle-bow, which is decorated with thunderbolts centering a flower on either side, has a branch on obverse side joining counter-guard; short quillon with oval button finial; pommel in the shape of a section of an inverted cone with an eagle molded on obverse side and a plain shield on the reverse; blackened steel scabbard with gilded brass mounts, including an upper band with carrying ring, a middle band with carrying ring, and small symmetrical drag.
