Description:
Leather sword belt covered with gilt lacing; metal clasp buckle with "NY" at the center of buckle with crossed branches surrounding; holster is suspended by 2 straps on adjustable metal rings, holster also covered with gilt lacing.

This sword belt was worn ca. 1898, probably by Noah Bruford of the 71st Regiment of New York's National Guard.
