Description: 
Sword with straight, double-edged steel blade with etching on obverse and reverse; blade is diamond-shaped in cross section; brass counter-guard consisting of two shell-shaped pieces, a fixed piece on obverse side with shield-breasted eagle molded in relief and a hinged piece on reverse side with shield superimposed on crossed arms; quillon with oval button finial with lion mask molded on face; grip covered in fish skin and wrapped with wire; pommel shaped like a section of an inverted cone with eagle molded on obverse side and plain shield on reverse; cap on top of pommel is separately cast and molded with a radial design of alternating petals and beads; knuckle-bow with a pair of thunderbolts centering a flower molded on either side; matte-surfaced steel scabbard with brass mounts consisting of a narrow band at throat, an upper band with two rings, a middle band with one ring, and drag with crossed flags on obverse side and a single star on reverse.
