Apartheid in South Africa began in the 1940's and did not end until the 1990's after President F.W. de Klerk released Nelson Mandela after twenty-seven years of imprisonment, opened negotiations with the ANC and repealed most of the apartheid laws. This button protests apartheid laws in South Africa.
