Description:
Homespun, black, double-breasted wool tail coat with a wide collar, notched lapels, two flap pockets at the hips and two rows of wooden buttons, covered in black textile, down the front; long tails, split down the center in the back.
Gallery Label:
This tail coat was made for George Fenner, the grandfather of the donor's husband, probably in Rush, Genesse Co., NY, by his daughters, Sophia and Mary.
