Description:
Seamed and wrought silver tea service including a teapot, sugar bowl with lid, creamer and sugar tongs; engraved swags around octagonal reserves in the centers of each side with the initials, "L J B" engraved in bright-cut script; makers' marks stamped on the bases.
Gallery Label:
This tea service belonged to Major Leonard Bleecker (1755-1844) and his wife Johanna Abeel (1764-1810), who were married in 1783.
