Description:
Wrought silver teapot; ovoid body with gadroons around the lower body on a rectangular splayed foot with an applied vertical edge stamped with shells; applied seamed die-rolled band with a grapevine design below an applied convex shoulder; applied vertical lip stamped with a band of shells; high curved spout, seamed on the upper surface, with a notched lip; raised ovoid hinged cover; rectangular gadrooned finial with a band of stamped shells midway; handle sockets rectangular in section, the upper vertical, the lower curved to fit squared silver handle with a die-rolled grapevine design along its center; engraved, "JDBK" in script at the front center of the body; no maker's mark.
