Description:
Wrought silver teapot; oval, boat-shaped body; gadrooning around the lower body; on a splayed and stepped rectangular foot with an applied, die rolled band of fruits and flower around the footring; upper body tapers and flares to a die rolled floral band below the shoulder; concave shoulder is raised to an applied bell flower rim; rectangular, hinged lid raised to a flat dome with a cast acanthus and egg finial; squared s-curve spout, cast in vertical halves, with an acanthus pendant at the lip; rectangular handle sockets with applied bell flower bands around the edges are fitted with a squared and grooved wooden handle; engraved, "W M B" in script on the center front; maker's marks on the base.
