Description:
Silver teaspoon with a downturned fiddle handle with shell decoration and the engraved initials "LD" in script; flared shoulders and a pointed oval bowl with a broad drop; maker's marks stamped on the underside of the handle.
Gallery Label:
The initals, "LD" engraved on the handle of this teaspoon stand for the donor's mother, Lucy M. Durand, the daughter of Asher B. Durand.
