Description:
silver teaspoon with a downturned pointed handle with bright-cut borders and foliate decoration; handle engraved, "MH" in block letters; pointed oval bowl with a long drop; maker's mark stamped on the underside of the handle.
Gallery Label:
This teaspoon was given to Martha White Horton, the great-grandmother of the donor, on the occasion of her marriage to James Horton in 1800.
