Description:
Silver teaspoon with an upturned handle with a midrib on the front and the engraved initials, "M R" in block letters on the underside; elliptical bowl with a rattail drop; maker's marks stamped on the underside of the stem.
Gallery Label:
John Strangeways Hutton reportedly lived to the age of 109, although he seems to have retired from silversmithing in 1747 at the age of sixty-three.
