Description: 
silver teaspoon with a downturned fiddle end handle with basket decoration and the initials, "AL" engraved in script; flared shoulders and a pointed oval bowl with shell decoration; maker's marks stamped on the underside of the handle.

This teaspoon originally belonged to Harriet Jackson Lyon (1807-1854, Mrs. Peter MacMartin), whose initials are engraved on the handles.
