Description:
silver teaspoon with a downturned fiddle handle with engraved initials, "CSS" in script on obverse; flared shoulders and a pointed oval bowl; stamped maker's mark and pseudo-hallmarks on reverse.

According to the accession records, this teaspoon was part of a lot of 74 spoons from the George B. Cutten Collection purchased by the donor from Eric Shrubsole, New York City.
