Description:
Two silver teaspoons with pointed oval bowl, fiddle shape handle, and flared shoulder; stamped maker's mark on reverse.
Gallery Label:
The Meriden Britannia Co. was established in 1879 for the production of 1847 Rogers Bros. silverplate, sterling silver flatware, silver-plated nickel silver and white metal holloware. The company merged with International Silver Co. of Canada, Ltd. around 1912. According to the accession records, the pattern of these teaspoons is "Old Colony."
