The front has a paper label printed in black with a scene of a man in a fur hat with a pointer dog aiming a rifle across a forested stream next to a dead deer encircled by the words "Kentucky Rifle Gunpowder/ Manuf'd by the/ Hazard Powder Co./ Hazardville Con."
