Description:
Colorless pressed lead glass toddy plate; circular form with scalloped edge; in well, portrait bust (profile) of Queen Victoria with initials "V R" to each side, enclosed by plain ring; pattern of diamonds receding towards well on interior rim, with "D" in one diamond (Lee-Rose 818).
Gallery Label:
The "D" on the interior rim of this plate probably indicates the moldmaker; its significance is unknown (See Publications).
