Description:
Molded pearlware tray for soup tureen with dark blue transfer print of Catskill, Hope Mill, New York; oval tray with projecting handles at sides; raised oval in the center of a dished area; shell border with central image of river, water fall, and village, with figure in row boat in foreground. (Larsen, 3rd ed. no. 17)
Gallery Label:
Hope Mill was one of the oldest paper mills in the United States. It was located near the town of Catskill in Jefferson hamlet on Catskill Creek.
