Description:
Waistcoat with cream and white silk leaf and vine pattern brocade outlined in grey; rolled collar dropped into ovoid lapels over five silk brocade covered buttons; tan cotton chintz back panels with two ties; tan chintz lining and tan strip of leather around the lining base.

This waistcoat was worn by Charles Stout, grandfather of the donor at his marriage to Honera Frances Merrell.
