Leaded glass and bronze "Black-eyed Susan" table lampshade; 16" domed shade with geometric background composed of rectangles of glass shaded from yellow at the top to green at the bottom; black-eyed susan flowers with yellow petals, red centers, and green leaves. Spun bronze oil base with three arms and chasing (missing foot). Shown on "Spun oval" base (N84.80.2), with cap (N84.84.3).
The base of this lamp originally accommodated an oil reservoir to provide fuel for lighting. Even after Tiffany Studios electrified most of their lamp models, urn-shaped bases still persisted.
