All 61 seals are octagonal on white or beige paper, many discolored or yellowed, and many with central figures that represent the association, including the scales of justice for "The Equity Council of the American Legion of Honor", a team of horses for "Private Coachmens' Benevolent and Charitable Society", crossed paint brushes for "Protective Alliance of Scenic Painters of America", an eagle holding a letter in its beak for " Postal Employees Mutual Aid Association", and railroad car for "The Brooklyn City Railroad Company".
